Why I’m Running:
My family has benefited immensely from our schools, community, and the natural beauty of Portola Valley. I’m grateful for this place we all call home, care deeply about our Town, and look forward to the opportunity to give back.
Endorsements:
I’ve had the benefit of volunteering with many dedicated, smart people in Portola Valley over the years, many who have endorsed my campaign.
My campaign was also endorsed by The Almanac.
In addition, I’ve been endorsed by all five members of the current Town Council, all five Portola Valley School District board members, and county and state officials including Marc Berman, State Assemblymember AD24, and Don Horsley, San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.
Please see my complete endorsement list here which includes over 200 people from our community.
Leadership Philosophy:
If elected, I will be new to town governance and with that will bring a fresh perspective, fueled by input from the community. I value transparency, authenticity and inclusivity, and believe organizations are at their best when divergent views are considered with a balanced, open approach. I have a long track record of leading both public and private organizations with a focus on effectiveness and operational efficiency, and have a reputation as someone who is energetic and knows how to get things done.
Priorities:
We have important work to do in our Town including wildfire risk management and fire safety, sustaining our unique natural environment, pandemic relief, and of course, housing. I believe Portola Valley needs to play it’s role in the housing crisis, not only because its a state mandate, but because morally its the right thing to do. Our collective challenge for all the important issues we face as a Town is finding the right path forward that fits the special character of our Town, and respects the intent of the General Plan so thoughtfully crafted by our founders in 1964.
